What is a Kuripe?
What is a Kuripe?
A kuripe is a traditional self-applicator pipe used by the Indigenous tribes of the Amazon rainforest to administer sacred hapé (rapé) snuff. Small enough to fit in the palm, this V-shaped kuripe pipe is handmade from bamboo, wood or bone: one end rests at the lips, the other at the nostril, letting the practitioner blow the rapé into the nose without assistance — unlike the longer tepi pipe, which is used to serve hapé to another person. The use of kuripes dates back hundreds of years, with each tribe crafting its own distinctive designs and styles.

What is Rapé (Hapé)?
What is Rapé (Hapé)?
Hapé (rapé) — also spelled rapeh or hapeh — is a sacred Amazonian snuff medicine, prepared and used in ceremony by Indigenous tribes for centuries. Each handcrafted blend combines sun-cured jungle tobacco and dried medicinal plants with alkaline tree ashes, every formula reflecting the unique traditions of its makers. Traditionally, this shamanic snuff is administered with a bone or bamboo kuripe pipe, blown gently into the nostrils.

This is the second kuripe I have bought from here, the first one is the best I’ve used, I bought a second for a friend.
Amazing kuripe, and amazing customer services too. They went above and beyond to get me the one I asked for.
