About Yopo Rapé (Hapé)

Among the most distinctive blends in our spiritual rapé collection, Yopo Hapé is built around the seeds of Anadenanthera peregrina — a tall, feathery-leaved Amazonian tree whose seeds have been ceremonially prepared by indigenous peoples for generations. Rather than the tree ash used in most rapé, the Yaminawa of Acre use finely ground freshwater shell as their alkaline base — a prized ingredient found only in certain river locations, some tribesmen travelling days to collect it. Combined with these roasted and ground Yopo seeds and tobacco from tribal lands, it makes for a rapé unlike most others.

This is a blend practitioners approach with reverence — strong but smooth, with an almost chocolatey aroma that sets it apart. It opens in two directions at once: deeply grounding, and simultaneously lifting. "Gives both a lift in energy but also a deep introspective journey," one writes; "spacious, grounding and uplifting at the same time," another; "a persistent calming of my thoughts and the awareness of my body becomes prominent."
