Made from dried sananga root bark, sourced directly from the Katukina tribe of Acre, Brazil, this is the gentlest of our three preparations — an ideal starting point, and gentle enough for use more than once a day.

Sananga is applied as a single drop into each eye. There is a brief, intense sting — sharp for a minute or two — and then it clears, often leaving a striking sense of focus, calm and stillness — one customer simply described "a kind of peace I hadn't felt in ages." In the Amazon it is worked with to clear panema, the heavy, stagnant energy that dulls a person; hunters traditionally used it to sharpen their perception before the hunt, and today it is most often reached for before meditation, prayer or ceremony.

Sananga is made from the root of the Tabernaemontana sananho shrub. Here the root bark is dried and ground into a powder, then steeped in water — the gentlest of our preparations. Tribe and preparation both shape its strength — which is why our three sanangas, from three tribes, each feel distinct.
