About Cacau Rapé (Hapé)

This light blend, crafted by the Katukina tribe of Acre, Brazil, combines tobacco from tribal lands with Cacau (Theobroma cacao) — whose name translates from Nahuatl as "Food of the Gods." Cacao has been held sacred across Mesoamerican and Amazonian cultures for thousands of years — prized in ceremony as much for its gently energizing lift as for its heart-opening warmth.

The whole tree goes into this rapé, not just the seed. The fallen cacao wood is burned to ash, and the seed is worked in alongside it — and the cacao itself is native, grown wild in the forest rather than cultivated. There is no Tsunu here: the cacao provides both the ash and the medicine, which is unusual, and it is why this blend carries its own particular sweetness.
